He came to WCHS as a transfer from Homeward Bound, and is ready to find his new home.Roan is a sociable, energetic guy who loves snacking on peanut butter and getting lots of pats! He adores other dogs, but we would still recommend a meet-and-greet at the shelter with any potential dog friends. His history with cats is unknown, so a household with cats would require a slow introduction process. Roan enjoys spending time with kids, but due to his size he would do best with children over 5. She came to WCHS after her owner passed away, and is looking for a family with whom she can spend her retirement years as a sweet, loyal companion.Sadie is a big fan of treats, pats, and fresh opportunities to exercise her trademark basset hound snoot. She can be a little opinionated, so she would do best in a home where her beautiful voice won`t be a bother. Sadie has gotten along well with other dogs, although we would recommend a meet-and-greet at the shelter with any potential dog friends. With a gradual introduction, she could also live with cats. Due to her exuberance about food, we would recommend that she only live with respectful kids who are 10 years or older.If you`re ready to meet your new best friend and Sadie sounds like a good fit for you, come meet her today!

Deuce is a 1.5 year-old mixed breed dog. He`s a snuggle bug who really values his time with his people! Deuce has previously lived with a 2-year-old child and they were the best of friends. Small but mighty, Deuce is only about 28lbs. The perfect size to snuggle, but big enough to keep up with you on long walks and adventures! He came to WCHS as an owner surrender and we are unsure how he is with other dogs. We would recommend a meet-and-greet with a canine companion at the shelter. What we do know is that Deuce has BIG feelings about cats and should not live with them. This little guy has really stolen the hearts of everyone here and is absolutely brilliant! He listens well, walks wonderfully and is happy to crawl into any lap he sees. Very social and loving, Deuce would be a great addition to any family!If Deuce sounds like a good fit for you, stop by and meet him!

Rory is a 1 year old ball of joy!! She loves to be around people, especially if you have toys for her to play with! Being just a 1 year old, she still has so much puppy energy and occasionally will jump up on people when she is excited. Rory has been around other dogs before and she can be picky about who her dog friends are. She would need to meet any potential friends at the humane society first. Rory gets very excited about cats and likes to chase them so we are recommending a home without cats for her. Although Rory is super friendly, we think she may knock over a small child with her excitement and would recommend a home with older children/teenagers. If you are looking for a young, playful ball of love to join your family, then Rory would LOVE to meet you!!
