Story
Let’s see what the google says “Redbones are medium-to-large hound dogs whose muscles undulate beneath a sleek and stunning red coat. The overall impression is that a master sculptor carved them from blocks of the finest mahogany. The classically houndy head is flanked by ears long enough to reach the nose. Dreamy brown eyes give the face an expression described by the breed’s devotees as “pleading.” Bred to work on all kinds of punishing terrain, Redbones are fast and surefooted and move with a proud, determined gait.” Sure, that about sums me up! I am handsome, super playful and AJ really love to SING the songs of my people! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Intake Date: 4 Apr 2020 ----- Age at intake: 5 yrs ----- Breed: Redbone Coonhound ----- Size: 60 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs, cats, and children! ----- Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: none noted, possible separation anxiety ----- Additional Notes: Browning is such a doll. He really likes to play and is very active. He may have some separation anxiety as he does get quite vocal at goodbyes. He is also vocal when he plays as you can see if you watch the videos on the Facebook page. He is a good boy! -------------------------------------------------------‐---------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A securely fenced yard is mandatory.

Frostee is doing GREAT with potty training and cries at the door to go outside!  We have had her for 3 days and she hasn't even had an accident!  We are working on kennel training, but she is doing well for being such a young puppy.  Frostee is a sweet, easy puppy.  We especially love her dots on her nose that are in the shape of a question mark!  She would be a wonderful addition to your family.   To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org

She is quite the cuddler, but yet very adventurous and outgoing, having checked out every nook in the house. Ophelia is doing amazingly well with the potty training so far, with just a few accidents. She does like to go outside frequently. Her favorite chew toys are socks with feet already in them and pant legs - yeah, we need to work on that one.  You won't regret adding Ophelia to your family - apply to adopt her!  She'll be forever grateful. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org

I came to live with my foster humans a few weeks ago. They seem entertained by my funny antics, such as zooming around and playing with their little dog. I love to play with their little dog because she’s pretty spunky like me! During the day, I stay in my kennel while the humans are gone. I keep my kennel clean and I don’t make noise either. I’ll let them know I want to go outside by pawing at the patio door. But sometimes I need an extra reminder to go potty, especially when it is cold out. I like to sit on their lap when they watch TV and sleep under the covers. I like toys and I’ll play a bit of fetch outside too! I’m pretty smart and I learned the routines at the house pretty quickly. I eat my meals when they are given to me and I really like to chew on a bone once in a while. I really want to make my forever family happy. So there are a couple of things that will be important for them to know before we make it forever. There are a few situations I don’t like and I will quickly let you know: I don’t like to be picked up a certain way.  I don’t really like bigger dogs. I live with a few big dogs and they are very nice but they kind of scare me. I would really like a little dog buddy in my forever family. I also don’t prefer to live with small children. Teenage children would be ok with me. Also-when I have something I think is mine, please don’t grab it from me suddenly. Let me know with words and maybe a treat, that you want it back. My foster humans will show you all of my ways when you meet me. I promise if you give me a chance that I will love you forever with all my heart. To view additional dogs available for adoption, please see our website: www.4luvofdog.org
