MEET SMOKEY!If you love a talkative cat, you will absolutely adore Smokey! This 5 year old sweetie could talk your ear off if you let him. He always has something to say and is very eager to tell you all about it. He loves being snuggled and crawling in your lap. He is hands down one of the most loving cats you will ever meet!Smokey has previously lived with other cats and thrived with their company, but we also believe he would do wonderfully as an only cat since all he wants is to cuddle and chat. Smokey has tested well with other cats here at the shelter and hasn’t shown any negative feelings towards dogs. He loves to play with his neighboring kitties through the kennel and is so excited when they peek over to say hello. Smokey is the kind of sweetness that could change the mind of someone who claims to `not like cats!`Smokey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, current on prevention, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. All he needs now is someone to talk to until he falls asleep!Complete an adoption survey at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/petadoptionsurvey. All Adoptions require a Pre-Adoption Interview with a YCAS Adoption Counselor, a meet and greet, and adoption approval. Every adoptable cat is Spayed or Neutered, implanted with a microchip, current on age appropriate vaccinations including a current 1 year Rabies Vaccination, and current on monthly Flea/tick prevention. All pets are behaviorally and medically evaluated prior to being placed up for adoption. The adoption fee is $77.

MEET POPPY!Hi! I`m Poppy! You might think I get my name from the Poppy flower because of my beauty, but you would be wrong. It`s because I am always POPPING up on my back legs and playing! I am an energetic little lady and I love to play, especially with the other kitties. While I am a fun-loving gal, I still know when it`s time to calm down for some love. I am super affectionate and thrive off getting some kisses. I would be a marvelous addition to an existing kitty home, but I also would do wonderfully as an only cat - as long as your ready to play!I am 5 months old, up to date on vaccines to my age, spayed, microchipped, current on prevention, and FIV/FeLV negative. Adopt me if you need a little fire in your life!Complete an adoption survey at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/petadoptionsurvey. MEET ELIZA!My name is Eliza and I am a super playful and lively little lady! I have big orange girl energy - and if you know anything about orange kitties, you`ll know that means we are little firecrackers! I am as sweet as I am cute (so very, obviously) and I could play soccer with a little rattle-ball all day! I absolutely love other cats and would do great as an addition to an existing kitty home, but I would be totally fine getting all the love as an only cat. As long as you want to play, I will be so happy!I am 5 months old, up to date on vaccines to my age, spayed, microchipped, current on prevention, and FIV/FeLV negative. Story
MEET BERT!Hey there, I`m Bert and I am ready to snuggle my way into your heart and your home! Even though I am only 5 months old, I have an old soul. I am pretty laid back and would love a home where I can kick back, relax, and get cuddled. While the other kitties play, you can usually find me napping or watching them. Sure, I will join in on the playtime! But I am more of a chill guy and would be perfectly content being held in your arms like a baby. I would do WONDERFULLY as an addition to an existing cat home because I really thrive off their company. I would do great as an only cat too, just as long as you are okay with carrying me around in your arms while doing household chores. I love having someone near me!I am 5 months old, up to date on vaccines to my age, neutered, microchipped, current on prevention, and FIV/FeLV negative. Story
MEET ALLIE!My name is Allie and if you are looking for a quiet, gentle, and cuddly best friend then I just might be the one for you! I arrived at the shelter as a stray but at the very second my shelter family met me, they knew I was not made for the outdoors! Not me, I am COUCH POTATO material! So I have spent my time at the shelter enjoying the accommodations (good food, comfy blankets, and lots of scratches) until my forever family comes and finds me. I have quickly become a shelter favorite for my kind and gentle demeanor and how polite I am - I pretty much spend all day sitting on my bed waiting for someone to notice me. The second you open my door, I will firmly press my forehead to yours for the cat form of a bear hug!I havent shown any negative reactions to other cats at the shelter, but considering how docile and sweet I am, I wouldn`t want any other kitties to try and play rough with me! I would do wonderfully as a lap cat - as long as your near me, I`m happy!I am up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, current on prevention, FIV/FeLV negative, and patiently waiting for my new family!Complete an adoption survey at https://www.cognitoforms.com/YorkCountyAnimalControl/petadoptionsurvey.
